Mesoporous biophotonic carbon spheres with tunable curvature for intelligent drug delivery

Abstract Mesoporous carbon spheres (MCSs) are widely used in the field of pollutants adsorption, energy storage and various biomedicine applications such as targeted delivery vector, phototherapy sensitizers, bioimaging contrast agents, etc. Current synthetic strategies including soft templating hard methods generally have limits using expensive surfactants or lack control over pore structures. Therefore, complex uncontrollable structures limit its further clinical application. Herein, we proposed a new strategy to uniformity channel arrangement MCSs which can modulate photonic property corresponding light controlled drug release intelligent delivery. The obtained with relative uniform long channels demonstrated best NIR light-induced performance.
